Business Summary
The Company sells Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and control centers for water and irrigation systems. These systems include microprocessor based Remote Terminal Units that can make control decisions onsite based on status conditions and values from local and remote sources. Using weather reports and current resources and conditions, the irrigation systems make the most effective and efficient use of limited water resources. Common uses include golf courses, parks, agricultural applications, school districts, and college campuses. About two-thirds of the Company’s revenue is generated from parts sales and the balance from service, training, and system engineering. A variety of technology companies, municipalities, federal agencies, and electric utilities comprise the customer base. About 65% of revenues are generated from US states outside the Company’s home state, 15% from its home state, and 20% from foreign countries.
