Business Summary
The Company is a full service design-build general contractor offering engineering, design, construction management, site planning, and self-perform construction services. The Company caters mainly to the federal government via military branches through contract vehicles awarded by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The Company holds a general contractor‘s license for Tennessee, Kentucky, and federal installations in several other southern states.
A significant portion of the Company’s revenue (75%) is generated from federal government contracts through Small Business Administration (“SBA”) set-a-aside programs. The remainder of revenue (25%) comes from commercial and private institutions. In 2006, the US Army Corps of Engineers was responsible for 70% of the Company’s revenue. Commercial and private institutions contributed 25%, and the US Army Directorates of Contracting accounted for 5%. The Company’s competitive advantage is derived from its size and customer base. The Company is large enough to have the capability to complete large and complex projects but small enough to benefit from SBA and other small business initiatives introduced by the government.
